The Slate was carefully removed and stacked for re-install. New ice and water shield and all copper detail flashing was applied. The old slate was then re-installed. Portions of the slate that were not re-usable were matched and specially manufactured so that the unique look could be preserved. The post office remained in operation throughout the process.
